He was predeceased by : his parents, Pete McKinley and Geneva Sims McKinley Huntley; his wife Virginia Jackson McKinley; and his siblings, Ernest Williams, Eugene Mitchell and Vanessa Thomas.
He is survived by : his children, Richard D. McKinley, Jr. (Linda) of Concord, NC and Carolyn Mason (Todd) of Charlotte, NC; his grandchildren, Chassey McKinley and Patience McKinley; his great grandchild Davian Glenn; his siblings, Nancy Houston of Kannapolis, NC, Sarah Jackson (Vernon) of Chesapeake, VA, Maggie Ann McKinley of Salisbury, NC and Robert Brawley (Yolanda) of Charlotte, NC; his niece Andriveia McKinley of Landis, NC; and his brother-in-law Steve Jackson of Kannapolis, NC. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives, and friends.
