He was predeceased by: his parents, Jay Davis and Marion Edwards Davis; his wife Linda Davis; his stepson Shawn O'Bryan Westover; and his grandson Adam Westover.

He is survived by: his stepchildren, Shadd Westover (Amy) of Kannapolis, NC, Shane Westover (Tuyet Mai) of Concord, NC and Staci Westover (Clayton) of Westover, PA; and his sisters, Becky Reese and Susan Baumgardner. He is also survived by fourteen grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and one great-granddaughter.
