She was predeceased by: her parents, Dorothy "Dot" McRae and Hardin "Hob" McRae; and her brother Kenneth McRae. She is survived by: her husband Gerald "Jerry" Carter; and her sister Cynthia Adcock (Grady).
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 13th 2025 at 12:30 PM at the Whitley's Funeral Home (1748 Dale Earnhardt Blvd, Kannapolis, NC 28083). A funeral service will be held on Monday, October 13th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Memorial United Methodist Church, 1100 West C Street, Kannapolis, NC 28081.
