He was predeceased by: his father Curtis Vance Davis; and his brother Rev. Ted Davis. He is survived by: his wife Janice Plummer Davis; his children, Priscilla Davis (Chuck), Pamela Lucas (Roy), Lee Ann Pridgeon (Monty) and Richard Gieck (Simone); and his brothers, Rev. Curtis Davis and Bobby Davis (Betty). He is also survived by five grandchildren.
