He was predeceased by: his parents, George W. Griffin and Belle Griffin; his wife Pauline Helms Griffin; and his children, Freda McCorkle and Mark Griffin.
He is survived by: his sister Mercile Medlin of Marshville; and his son-in-law Mike McCorkle. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews.
