We are sad to announce that, on March 11, 2026, at the age of 85, Charles Edward Ridenhour Sr. of Kelly, North Carolina, born in Salisbury, North Carolina passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his mother Bessie Ridenhour Chason; his stepfather Bill Chason; his siblings, Donnie Ridenhour (Sherrill) and Carol Brown; his grandmother Bessie Willmotte; and his brother-in-law Charles Sessoms.
He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Russ Ridenhour; his children, Jacqueline R. Collier (Haywood) and Charles "Charlie" Edward Ridenhour, Jr.; his granddaughter Jessica Collier Sutherland (Joseph); his great grandchild Jacee Sutherland; his siblings, Becky Hinson (Richard), Martha Sessoms, Buddy Chason (Carolyn) and George Chason (Jill); and his brother-in-law Bobby Russ. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers a memorial contribution may be given to Centerville Baptist Church Parsonage Fund, PO Box 27, Kelly, NC 28448.
