He is survived by: his children, Lee Helen McKoy, Agnes Mumford, Lorenzo McKoy Bennie (Priscilla), Waymond McKoy (Valeria), Mavis Harvey (James) and Machelle McCracken (Courtney); and his sisters, Edith Johnson and Myrtle Johnson. He is also survived by grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
Visitation was held on Thursday, September 11th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Dunn Funeral Home and Cremation Services (810 W Wilmington St, Burgaw, NC 28425). A celebration of life was held on Friday, September 12th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Zion Chapel AME Church (118 Zion Chapel Dr, Kelly, NC 28448).
