She was predeceased by : her father Samuel Potter; her husband Earl Burney; and her siblings, Sammy Potter and Patricia Lewis. She is survived by : her sons, Kevin Burney of Kelly and David Burney (Donna) of Kelly; her sister Dana Tatum of Elizabethtown; and her grandchildren, Andrew Todd, Brandon Todd, Kayla Todd, Hunter Burney and Jaxson Burney.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to the Parsonage Fund of Centerville Baptist Church, P.O. Box 27, Kelly, NC 28448.
