Though his name may fade from the lips of time, the imprint Larry leaves upon the hearts of his loved ones remains eternally vivid — a testament to the depth of his spirit and the richness of his legacy.
He was predeceased by: his parents, John Albert Long and Arlene Squries Long; his wife Matilda Long; his stepson Mitchell Barnes; and his brother Johnny Ray Long.
He is survived by: his daughter Lisa Long (Elroy Long) of Garland; his stepsons, Charles Barnes of Garland and Ray Barnes of Garland; and his siblings, Elroy Long (Lisa Long) of Garland, Vanessa Rich of Garland, Joyce Smith of Garland and Marlene Long of Rocky Point.
A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, May 27th 2026 at 5:00 PM at the Holmes Hill Cemetery.
