He was predeceased by: his parents, Ralph Tyner and Roxie Tyner; his wife Sue Tyner; and his siblings, Janie Tyner Abbott, Nettie Bennett, Grover and Donald Ray Tyner.
He is survived by: his daughter Patricia Quinn (Gerald Haywood) of Kenansville, NC; his grandson Gerald "Lukeman" Quinn III (Madison Quinn) of Advance, NC; his sister Patricia Lewis of Morehead City, NC; and his close friends, Lynda Brown and Arvest Williams.
