She is survived by: her children, Jennifer Mayo, Jessica Mayo, Daniel Mayo, Walter Mayo and Troy Mayo; her grandchildren, Thomas Mayo, Keira Mayo, Kaeden Barnes, Daniel Griffin, Cristina Griffin, Lilly Griffin, Jeremiah Griffin and Kennedi Barnes; her sisters, Cathy Odwyer of Kenly and Sherry Watkins of Dunn; her parents-in-law, Dorothy Mayo and Dennis Mayo; her siblings-in-law, Kevin Mayo, Micheal Mayo and Tonya Mayo; and her siblings' children, Nola Morales of Raleigh, Carrie Joyce Watkins of Dunn, Jimmy Godwin of Benson and Christian Watkins of Dunn.
Visitation was held on Monday, November 3rd 2025 from 5:30 PM to 7:00 PM at the Joyner's Funeral Home (4100 Raleigh Rd Pkwy W, Wilson, NC 27896). A graveside service was held on Tuesday, November 4th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Evergreen Memorial Park (2800 Nash St N, Wilson, NC 27896).
