It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Elsie Rae Boykin of Kenly, North Carolina, who passed away on October 3, 2025, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Julian Spence and Mary Rose Spence; her husband Alfred Boykin; and her siblings, Aubrey Spence, Evelyn Lamm, Virginia Leonard, Judy Bridgers, Shirley Simmon, Betty Lancaster and Inez Shipley.
She is survived by: her children, Debbie Schultze, Terry Hogg and Al Boykin Jr. (Pam); her grandchildren, Heather Batts, Ashley Bailey, Erika Newsome (Jason), Jason Schultze (Laura), Tyler Schultze (Lauren) and Richie Hogg (Stephanie); and her great grandchildren, Cole Denton, Piper Finn, Harper Schultze, Hadley Schultze, Hayzel Schultze, Jackson Honeycutt, Will Schultze and Griffin Schultze.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 7th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Kenly Funeral & Cremation Service (103 E 2nd St, Kenly, NC 27542). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 7th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
