She was predeceased by: her parents, Clyde B. Sasser and Hettie E. Sasser; her husband Melvin Brooks Joyner; and her siblings, Buren Sasser and Patricia Sasser Radford (Pat).
She is survived by: her son Kelvin "Brooks" Joyner; her daughter-in-law Maryann Joyner; her daughter Melinda Smith; her grandchildren, Jessica Joyner, Ashley DuBray and Jessica Kramer; her great grandchild Zechariah Joyner; and her sister JoAnn Woodard.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, November 6th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Rains Crossroads Cemetery (5430 Princeton Kenly Rd, Kenly, NC 27542).
