She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Lee Scott and Ellie Mae Boykin Scott; and her siblings, Willie Scott, Elmer Scott, James Scott, Virginia Scott, Betty Batten, Doris Eason and Lois Smith.
She is survived by: her husband George Way; her children, Carolyn R. Brown (Scott) and Dennis Etheridge (Patsy); and her grandson Spencer Etheridge.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, August 2nd 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Kenly Funeral & Cremation Service (103 E 2nd St, Kenly, NC 27542). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 2nd 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggest memorials be sent to Hospice of Wilson 1901 Tarboro St SW #301, Wilson, NC 27893 in memory of Gladys.
