With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of James Jordan Godwin (Kenly, North Carolina), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on May 11, 2025 at the age of 87. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul Godwin and Blanche Gardner Godwin; and his former wife Jo Godwin. He is survived by: his wife Gerri Godwin; his daughter Donna Jo Godwin Price (Billy); his granddaughter Kelly Jo Jones (Rodney); his great grandchildren, Olivia Jo Hinnant and Jaxon Jones; his children, Tonia Boyette (Mark), Michael Pearce and Joe Pearce; his grandchildren, Timothy Boyette, Landen Boyette and Lisa Mull (Rich); his great grandchild Alan-Michael Hales; and his sister Paulette Godwin Hardie (Bob).
In lieu of flowers, the family request memorials be sent to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 in memory of James.
