He is survived by: his children, James Dwight Mitchell (Diane), Bull Mitchell (Mary), Rick Mitchell (Leigh Anne) and Kay Mitchell Anderson (Randy); his grandchildren, James Wade Mitchell, Amanda Rose Mitchell, Michael Lee Mitchell (Amy), Samantha Mitchell (Diego), Trish Scott, Leanne Cahall (Robert), Dustin Mitchell (Elise), Timmy Mitchell (Natalie), Danny Mitchell and Kayla Anderson (Mustafa); and his sister Carolyn Capps.
Visitation was held on Thursday, May 1st 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Kenly Funeral & Cremation Service (103 E 2nd St, Kenly, NC 27542). A graveside service was held on Friday, May 2nd 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Kenly Cemetery (608 W 2nd St, Kenly, NC 27542).
