She was predeceased by: her parents, Jessie Batten and Naomi Davis Batten; her stepmother Nedies Batten; her husbands, William Cecil Boswell and Burgess Pittman; her siblings, Doris Horne, Jessie Lee Atkinson of Ralph Batten, A. B and Clifton Batten; her children, Wanda Boswell Smith, W. J. Boswell, Dwight Boswell and Roy Boswell; and her daughters-in-law, Janice Boswell and Linda Boswell.
She is survived by: her children, Ronnie Boswell, Ruby Boswell and Tim Boswell (Nan); her siblings, Jean Narron of Judy Raper, C. D and J. P. Batten; and her children-in-law, Lou Boswell, Rose Boswell and Johnnie Smith. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, and 8 great-great-grandchildren.
