He was predeceased by: his parents, John W. Sutton and Mary Anderson Sutton; his former wife Delores Batten Sutton; and his siblings, Curtis Eugene Sutton and Etholea Sutton Dixon (Cecil Dixon).
He is survived by: his wife Faye Bass; his children, Roger Dale Sutton (Pat) of Kenly, Randy Sutton (Beth) of Kenly and Karen Sutton Hill (Kevin) of Wilson; his stepdaughter Cindy Bass Rasberry (Paul) of Walstonburg; his sister-in-law Jeanette Sutton of Wilmington; his grandchildren, Josh Sutton (Brittny), Adam Sutton (Kristi), Lauren Sutton, Logan Sutton, Anna Hill Burnett (Carlos), Hunter Whitley (Brittany) and Parker Thornton; and his great grandchildren, Michael Rhodes Whitley, Cheyenne Whitley and Holden Whitley. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends.
