He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Seldon Martin and Vassie Veronica Martin (Evans); his daughter Beth Martin; and his siblings, Freddie Mae, Debbie and Chuck.

He is survived by: his wife Brenda Martin; his children, Patricia (Charlie), David (Renee), Teresa, Robert (Bonnie), Dana (Bobby), Ricky, Heather (Ryan) and Misty; and his brothers, Dennis and Roger. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, and 14 great-great-grandchildren.
