We are sad to announce that on May 8, 2024, Edith Madeline Gardner Tilley of Kernersville, North Carolina passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though her name may fade from the lips of time, the imprint Edith Madeline Gardner leaves upon the hearts of her loved ones remains eternally vivid — a testament to the depth of her spirit and the richness of her legacy.
She was predeceased by : her husband William Francis Tilley; her parents, Ed Gardner and Nellie Pettis Gardner; and her daughter Frances "Sissy" McBride. She is survived by : her children, Jewel Tilley McClenic (Brian), Perry Tilley (Faye) and Curtis Tilley (Nyoka); her son-in-law Johnny McBride; and her pet Rusty. She is also survived by fifteen grandchildren; several great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Saturday, May 11th 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Pierce-Jefferson Funeral Services Kernersville Chapel (213 W Mountain St, Kernersville, NC 27284). A funeral service was held on Monday, May 13th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
