He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Horace Briggs and Esther Murphy Briggs; his wife Donnie Briggs; his daughter Teresa Jean Briggs (Terri) of Charlotte; his grandchildren, Robert Anderson (Courtney), Larissa Martinez, Trevor and Travis Briggs; his great grandchildren, Lily Grace "Princess" Anderson and James Anderson; and his siblings, Doris Lee Briggs of Thomasville, Carol Ann Ingram of Greensboro and John Kenneth Briggs (June) of Mississippi.
