He was predeceased by: his parents, John W. Rice and Hattie Long Rice; and his wife Carolyn Miller Rice. He is survived by: his goddaughters, Amy Welch and Lynn Warren. He is also survived by his nieces, nephews extended family.
A funeral service was held on Tuesday, October 20th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Eastlawn Gardens of Memory (530 Dobson St, Kernersville, NC 27284).
