He is survived by : his wife Rhonda Smith Cox; his son Chad Cox (Tracy); his grandson Tanner Cox; and his siblings, Jimmy Cox (Meleah), Donald Cox (Cynthia), Mary Ellen Modlin, Barbara Elliott, Joann Elder, Julie Montgomery (Richard), Frances Turner and Peggy Hall (Roger).

A celebration of life was held on Friday, May 10th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Kernersville Friends Church (320 N Main St, Kernersville, NC 27284).
