She was predeceased by: her parents, William Rowan Blackburn and Dovie Richardson Blackburn; her husband Perry H. Reid, Sr.; her son Larry Pinnix; her siblings, Francis Blackburn, Mabel Tilley, Lucille Flynt and Nina Martin; her stepdaughters, Alice Pack, Patricia Priddy and Betty Dull; and her stepgranddaughter Teresa King.
She is survived by: her stepchildren, Virginia Hill and Perry H. Reid, Jr. (Renee); her daughter-in-law Rhonda Pinnix; her stepgrandchildren, Debbie West, Tracey Stachnick (Billy), John McGee, Kristy Dull and T. J. Smoot (Megan); her stepgreat-grandchildren, Nicole King, Cheyenne West and Jesse West (Bailee); her nephew Barry Crews (Lynn); and her niece Teresa Barnes (Terry).
A memorial service will be held on Sunday, June 29th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Kernersville Chapel - Hayworth-Miller Funeral Homes & Crematory (3950 Macy Grove Rd, Kernersville, NC 27284).
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Trellis Supportive Care or a charity of your choice in honor of Ruth.
