He was predeceased by: his fathers, Robert E. Garris, Sr. and Travis Bell Garris. He is survived by: his sons, William J. Garris, III, Brooks Lively (Josh) and Hunter Sigmon (Spencer); and his siblings, Misty Giles (Andy) and Bobby Garris (Neven). He is also survived by eight grandchildren, and a host of cousins.
