He is survived by : his daughters, Maralee McGowen of Port Charlotte, FL and Lisa M. Duquette of Gastonia, NC; his son-in-law Allen Duquette; and his grandchildren, David Duquette (Diana Duquette) of Johnson City, TN and Alaina Duquette of Philadelphia, PA..

Kelly Hooper wrote a sympathy message

“So sorry to hear of the passing of Mr. Dave. I met him working at the Y in Stokes. Mr. Dave was a very sweet man he always came in talking about how the weather was going to be for the day and sometimes even for the week. I have seen Mr. Dave encourage other members giving them pep talks and telling them how good they would feel after they were done exercising. Mr. Dave will sure be missed dearly. I am honored that I was able to know him for a short time.”
