He was predeceased by : his parents, Spencer Lee McNeil and Thurma York McNeil; his wife Bonnie Mae Whitaker McNeil; and his son Ricky L. McNeil. He is survived by : his children, Terry R. McNeil, Billy D. McNeil (Teresa) and Kathy M. Smith (Mike); his sister Wilma Merritt; his grandchildren, Tabitha McNeil, Fancy Burton (Chance) and Brandon Smith; his great grandchildren, Walker, Joshua, Waylen, Wade, Elijah, Wyatt and Karma-Mae; and his pet Shirlee.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorials be made to: Stokes County Animal Shelter.
