We announce the death of Barbara Sue Tackett (Kings Mountain, North Carolina), who passed away on October 11, 2026, at the age of 74. Barbara will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. She was predeceased by: her parents, Earle Kluber and Betty Lou Kluber; her great grandchild Azreya Odom; and her husband Clenon Tackett. She is survived by: her children, John Paul Tackett (Pam) of Ironton, OH, Craig Alan Tackett (Melanie) of Blacksburg, SC, Amanda Elizabeth Holland (Brandon) of Kings Mountain, NC and Donna Rashel Stillions (Jared) of Hallettsville, TX; her grandchildren, Johnathon Tackett, Benesh Holland, Alexander Odom, Ella Holland, Adelaide Holland, Margaret Stillions and John Stillions; her great grandchild Lakelynn Odom; her siblings, Sue Arnold, Dina Garland, Bonnie Lou Morton (John), Carol Ann York (Dave) and Harlan Earle Kluber (Sue); and her friend Jayne Hanley.
Visitation was held on Thursday, October 22nd 2026 from 10:00 AM to 10:45 AM at the Advent Lutheran Church (230 Oak Grove Rd, Kings Mountain, NC 28086). A memorial service was held on Thursday, October 22nd 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
Memorials may be made in Barbara's memory to All Saints Lutheran Church in Charlotte or Advent Lutheran Church in Kings Mountain.
