We are sad to announce that, on July 6, 2025, at the age of 63, Betty Messick Horne of Kings Mountain, North Carolina, born in Gaston, North Carolina passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, James Franklin Messick and Rennie Sahms Messick; and her siblings, Buck Little, Johnny Messick, Lewis Messick Sr., Martha Messick and Dovie Messick.
She is survived by: her husband Gene Horne; her daughter Misty Messick; her grandchildren, Justin Messick and Chelsie Gann; her great grandchildren, Brylee Greene, Shyla Messick, Adien Messick and Kamryn Willis; and her pet Sassy.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to a charity of your choice in Betty's name, allowing her legacy of love and kindness to continue.
