Darius leaves behind cherished memories for friends, family, and all who had the privilege of knowing him. Darius’s life was marked by connections and experiences that touched those around him. Though he is no longer with us, the moments shared, the laughter, and the support he offered will continue to resonate. All who knew Darius will carry forward his memory in their hearts.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Whitson and Estelle Horton Whitson; his son Darius Kay Whitson Jr.; and his sisters, Lula Peterson, Pearl Lee Peterson, Inez Peterson and Erna Harris.
He is survived by: his son Michael Andrew Whitson; and his brother Boyd Whitson (Rhonda). He is also survived by loving caregivers until the end; several nieces and nephews.
