He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard Earl and Jessie Elizabeth "Boots" Bridges Fite; his wife Ruby Dianne "Dinky" Fite; his daughter Angela Kirk; and his siblings, Eddie, Don Fite and Earlene Matherson.
He is survived by: his daughters, Tonia Willard (Danny) of Gastonia and Kim Fite of Gastonia; his son-in-law Billy Kirk of Kings Mountain; his brother Charles Fite (Ann) of Kings Mountain; his nephew Marvin Matherson; and his close friend Zeke. He is also survived by six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren.
