He is survived by: his wife Teresa Shook Nelson; his sons, Matthew Nelson (Sherri) of Kings Mountain, Benjamin Nelson (Alexis) of Shelby, NC and Jonathan Nelson of Kings Mountain; his sister Donna Cabana (Greg) of Minnesota; his grandchildren, Tyler, Eric, Chloe, Allison and Shayla Nelson; and his great grandchild Ryan Nelson. He is also survived by cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 15th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Harris Funeral Home (108 S Piedmont Ave, Kings Mountain, NC 28086).
