He was predeceased by: his parents, Leonard Patterson and Kathleen Lovelace Patterson; and his brothers, Jeff and Isaac "Ike" Patterson. He is survived by: his wife Sadie Patterson; his daughters, Jerri Tate (Dexter) of Kings Mountain and Johnna Wyte (Mark) of Kings Mountain; his niece Melanie Souza (Brian) of Fort Mill, SC.; his grandchildren, Courtney Humphries (Daniel), Cline Tate (Kacey), Hannah Moore (Andrew), Seth Wyte and William Souza; and his great grandchildren, Luke, Hayden, Addisyn Humphries, Cade, Cooper Tate, Hudson and Brody Moore.
Visitation will be held on Monday, September 29th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Harris Funeral Home (108 S Piedmont Ave, Kings Mountain, NC 28086). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, September 30th 2025 at 4:00 PM at the Patterson Grove Baptist Church (301 Oak Grove Rd, Kings Mountain, NC 28086).
