It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Hershel Nathan Davis Jr. of Kings Mountain, North Carolina, who passed away on May 13, 2026, at the age of 76, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Hershel Nathan Davis Sr. and Carrie Falls Davis; and his siblings, Buddy Davis, Chester Davis, Donnie Moorehead and Aileen Doty.
He is survived by: his wife Teal Davis; his children, Karen Ellis (Phillip) of Linwood, Hershel Davis III (Janet McDaniel) and Matt Davis (Angie) of Lexington; his stepdaughters, Jamie Hubbard of Shelby and Suzanne Cooke (Jacob) of Casar; his siblings, Roger Davis (Jackie), Shirley Williams of Kings Mountain and Catherine Gibson of Shelby; and his siblings-in-law, Sandra Davis of Gastonia and Phil Moorehead of Kings Mountain. He is also survived by 17 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.
