He was predeceased by: his parents, Noah Sheridan Mason and Florence Anderson Mason; his wife Dicie Alexander Mason; and his children, Kenneth Mason, Eddie Mason and Glenda Mason.
He is survived by: his brother Charles Mason of Gastonia, NC. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.
