He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard James Self and Edith Jackson Self. He is survived by: his wife Lisa Carter Self; his children, Jamie Self Downey of Kings Mountain, Holly Queen (Karen) of Kings Mountain, Heather Loflin of Harrisburg, NC and Chase Shipman of Kings Mountain; his grandsons, Sean Downey and Alex Downey; and his pet Molly.
