He was predeceased by: his parents, Datha Abram Beattie and Viola Morrison Beattie; and his sisters, Jane Reynolds and Gail Wood. He is survived by: his wife Ellen Harris Beattie; his children, April Grigg and Anthony Rickman of Kings Mountain; his grandchildren, Haley, Lauren, Destiny, Anna and Katlyn; his great grandchild Kinsley; his siblings, Kay Jones (Larry) and Larry Beattie (Lisa); and his father-in-law Gene Harris of Bessemer City. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
