He is survived by: his daughter Gena Wilkins; his sister Patricia Hord-Heatherley (Ann); his granddaughters, Hayden Heatherley and Bella Wilkins; his great grandchildren, Ryker, Isla, Wyatt and Evelyn; his niece Kathy Moss (Patrick); and his nephew Marvin Heatherley, Jr. of Columbia.

Memorial donations can be made in honor of R. Ray Heatherley, Jr. to Hospice of the Carolina Foothills in Forest City, NC.
