He is survived by: his father Reginald Brevard Callahan of Shelby; his sons, Derrick Callahan (Melissa) of Mooresboro and Chris Callahan (Tamara Novia) of Virginia; his sister Tonie Turner (Max Jr) of Shelby; his grandchildren, Taylor (Tim), Gage, Jessilyn and Jasper; and his great grandchild Oliver.
