He was predeceased by: his parents, Jesse Wilbur Hodge and Alda Kathleen Huss Hodge; and his brother Robert "Bob" Brice Hodge. He is survived by: his children, Gregory "Greg" L. Hodge (Lisa) and Melissa H. Jennings (Brent); his grandchildren, Haley A. Jennings, Rachel Jones and Luke Johnson; and his siblings, Jim Hodge and Sandra Broughton (Steve). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, August 28th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 1:45 PM at the Carothers Funeral Home at Gaston Memorial Park (2205 Williamsburg Dr, Gastonia, NC 28054). A funeral service was held on Friday, August 28th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
