He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Clarence Thompson and Zenna Hampton Thompson; and his granddaughter Tamala Bess.
Visitation was held on Thursday, March 5th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Saturday, March 7th 2026 from 3:00 PM to 3:30 PM. A funeral service was held on Saturday, March 7th 2026 at 3:30 PM at the Adams Chapel AME Zion Church (212 Lake Montonia Rd, Kings Mountain, NC 28086).
