With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Vickey Kay Capps of Kings Mountain, North Carolina, born in Jackson, North Carolina, who passed away on April 14, 2026 at the age of 66. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the sacred silence of farewell, Vickey is released into the embrace of eternity, knowing that her light will continue to shine brightly in the tapestry of the lives of her loved ones. She was predeceased by: her father Harold Nicholson; and her nephew Jonathan Nicholson. She is survived by: her mother Betty Sue Nicholson; her siblings, Judy (Jeff), Pam (Josh) and Harold; and her nephews, Brad Spencer, Adam Nicholson and Matthew Nicholson.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Wendover Hospice and Via Health Partners, organizations that provided comfort and assistance during Vickey's final days.
