With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Vivian Payne of Kings Mountain, North Carolina, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on January 23, 2026 at the age of 77. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Sam Scoggins and Ruby Scoggins; her husband Robert A. Payne; and her daughter-in-law Mary Elizabeth Payne. She is survived by: her sons, Robert C. Payne, Travis Payne and Jonathan Payne; her grandchildren, Lorin Payne, Isaiah Payne, Gabrielle Lopez, Blaze Payne, Nathan Payne, Lily Payne, Corey Payne and Summer Payne; her great grandchildren, Salem Widener and Rohan Lopez; and her sister Wanda Lane. She is also survived by many extended family members and dear friends.
