It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Agnes Ewell (Kinston, North Carolina), who passed away on April 7, 2023, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Agnes Ewell to pay them a last tribute.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Orvis Watson Mumford and Melissa Agnes Mumford of Pitt County; and her siblings, Mac Mumford, Daryl Mumford, Miriam Mumford Moore Smith, Ray Mumford and Robert "Snap" Mumford.

She is survived by: her husband Ruben Ewell; her children, Kim Adams (Thomas) of Greenville, NC, Gary Ewell (Allison) of Newport, NC and Janet Buckner of Summerville, SC.; her grandchildren, Ashley Evans (Brandon Collins), Kevin Thomas (Allison), Jordan Adams, Cameron Winston (Allen), Dakota Smith, Scott Ewell, Josh Ewell and Kaylin Barefoot; and her great grandchildren, Kaleb Thomas, Breighton Thomas, Olivia Winston and Stella Mae Thomas. She is also survived by nephews and nieces.
