He was predeceased by: his siblings, Lena Antwine, Linda W. Eason, Franklin "Pete" Wiggins and Lloyd E. Wiggins; his parents, Alton, Sr. Wiggins and Ida Mae Herring Wiggins; and his grandson RJ Gay.
He is survived by: his wife Helen Whaley Wiggins; his daughters, Sandra Kay Wiggins Harris (Bobby) of Kinston and Ida Wiggins Gay (Melvin) of Kinston; his grandchildren, Loretta Carter (David), Amanda Harris, Jeremy Alton Gay (McKayla) and B. J. Harris; his great grandchildren, Michael, Lillian, Candice, Danielle, Ericha, Alex, Maddox and Graydon; his siblings, Debra Wiggins Moody of Kinston and Michael Wiggins (Judy) of Kinston; and his pet Millie.
