Anita Deaver Obituary
It is with sadness that the passing of Anita Deaver of Kinston, North Carolina is shared. Anita, born on February 21, 1946, passed away on September 20, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Willie Taylor Waters and Aleen Hancock Waters Mozingo; her husband Ferrell Edwood Deaver Sr.; and her brothers, Robert Mozingo and Rudy Hancock.
She is survived by: her children, Meredith Benson (Dwight) and Edwood Deaver Jr.; her granddaughters, Grace Mae Benson Adams (Clarence Adams) and Geneva Kate Benson (Joshua Killette); her brother Larry "Mickey" Hancock; and her sister-in-law Florine Jones. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
A graveside service was held on Friday, September 25th 2026 from 6:00 PM to 6:30 PM at the Oak Ridge Memorial Park (985 N North Carolina 11 903 Hwy, Pink Hill, NC 28572).
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Anita's memory to The Gideons International, helping to share God's Word with others.
