It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Betsy Jean Hobbs (Kinston, North Carolina), who passed away on June 20, 2025, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Betsy Jean Hobbs to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, A. B. Daughety Jr. and Margaret Wilson Daughety; and her siblings, A. B. Daughety III, Luther Daughety and Susan Daughety.
She is survived by: her husband Alton Hobbs; her son Seth Hobbs (Latoya Hobbs); her stepgrandson Cameron Betton; and her grandson Cyrus Hobbs. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 26th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Howard - Carter Funeral Service (1608 W Vernon Ave, Kinston, NC 28504). A funeral service will be held on Friday, June 27th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Howard-Carter Funeral Home (1608 W Vernon Ave, Kinston, NC 28504). A graveside service will be held on Friday, June 27th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Westview Cemetery (917 Cleveland Dr, Kinston, NC 28504).
