He was predeceased by: his wife Betty Waller; his parents, Oscar Waller and Billie Waller; and his siblings, Christy Jane Hawkins and Burgess Waller.
He is survived by: his sons, David Waller (Julie) of Raleigh and Johnny Waller (Debbie Everly) of Chapel Hill; his grandchildren, Chloe Waller, Caroline Waller, Emma Waller, Billie Waller, George Waller, Mac Kuder and Brenna Kuder; his sister Karen Taylor (Emmette); and his siblings-in-law, Lula Shackelford and Alan Hawkins. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
