She was predeceased by: her parents, Luther Grant and Beatrice Chase Grant; her husband Edward Earl "Pete" Johnson; and her siblings, Luther "Bud" Grant and Eleanor G. Sutton.
She is survived by: her children, Donna Johnson Cannon (Preston) of Greenville and Ricky Earl Johnson (Wanda) of Hookerton; her siblings, Lucille G. Smith of Goldsboro, Edna Earl G. Newsom of Goldsboro, Tanya G. Weeks of Goldsboro, Faye G. Taylor of Snow Hill and Ronnie Grant (Paulette) of Snow Hill; her sister-in-law Gail Grant of Snow Hill; her grandchildren, Shea Johnson (Christi) of Hookerton and Crystal May of Greenville; and her great grandchildren, Addison Johnson, Murphy Johnson and Jaiden May.
