He is survived by: his wife Cassandra Cogdell Hawkins; his sons, Cyle Hawkins and Clyde Hawkins of Virginia; and his siblings, Lionel Hawkins, Don Hawkins of Virginia, Claudette Minnicks and Tania Abayomi of Virginia. He is also survived by seven grandchildren.
